01Will it rewrite my book behind my back?
No. In Coauthor mode every change is a tracked suggestion that waits for Accept. You choose how fixes land: Review (everything waits), Safe (line edits go in, rewrites wait) or Autorun.
02What is Auto, exactly?
A full run from idea to file: format, title, outline, chapters, cover and publish checks. You watch each step on the desk and can stop it at any point. What was written stays.
03What does Book Author cost?
The desk is $2.99/month, $24.99/year, or $69.99 once — same Typewriter desk. (The $99.99 Typewriter Plus life bundled year-1 AI credits; we keep AI on the wallet instead.) AI is separate: wallet or bring ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok.
04Can I just write, with no AI?
Yes. With an active Book Author subscription the editor, binder, outline, bible and export work without asking the coauthor. Tokens are only spent when you ask.
05Can I bring the AI I already pay for?
Yes. Sign in with ChatGPT, Claude or Grok and the coauthor runs on that plan. Or use our hosted models from the wallet.
06I already write on Typewriter. Is this different?

07Who owns the book?
